Slack
Freelance Senior Editor, Writer, and content strategist

Working directly with Slack’s Public Relations Senior Manager and writing the copy behind the Slack Spotlight Awards for three years (since inception).
Crafting Slack case studies that center around interviews and the customer story, and how Slack helps companies like HubSpot, Cole Haan, and Hearst Magazines operate more efficiently.
Working collaboratively with Slack’s EMEA and North American customer marketing managers and designers to edit new stories, manage timelines, address customer feedback, and ensure we are always telling stories that shine a light on the customer.
My work with Slack includes stories that highlight how companies like TIBCO and Square reacted to Covid-19 and leveraged Slack to shift to a remote workplace that keeps employees safe and continues to moves the business forward.
Wrote both the Modern incident response ebook and the Slack Connect ebook, collaborating with content marketing and design to bring together an engaging narrative that resonates with high-level decision makers at global companies.

Writing and editing customer stories that center around interviews and ensure we properly showcase the user and inform future users of the possibilities and opportunities that are available when using Webflow.

Collaborated with the Senior Customer Evidence Manager to shape The ReadME Project, which sheds light on the maintainer population and their impact on the open source world. This work continues to include writing stories and shaping profiles to showcase these maintainers’ important and often undervalued roles.
Writing case studies to demonstrate GitHub’s impact on clients like Pinterest, Ford, and Nationwide.
Collaborating with in-house teams to ensure copy is consistent, on brand, and personality-driven when possible.
Wrote and edited content for various marketing campaigns include the Octocat Generator and Octoverse 2018 and 2020.

Worked directly with Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, senior designers and video geniuses, project managers, and more to create the go-to-market plan for Ava DuVernay’s class, Reframe Your Thinking.
This project included brainstorming initial branding territories, writing countless headlines, and dreaming up themes around which we could promote Ava’s truly unique, provocative, and inspirational class.
GTM content included video support, lifecycle marketing assets, product web deliverables, paid and organic social assets, audio talking points, branded and non-branded SEO search, YouTube trailer copy, membership copy, episode copy, and more.
BetterUp
Freelance Brand strategist and copyWriter

Worked closely with the Coach Experience lead to develop and write communications for the global BetterUp Coach Community, including emails, documentation, video scripts, slide decks, and other short-form content.
Provided guidance for Coach communications and storytelling, including helping to create the brand voice and tone guidelines.
Interviewed several senior stakeholders, including the co-founders, to develop the overall BetterUp voice and tone, and create guidelines to act as a source of truth for 1,000 employees.
The Regenerates

• Worked together with The Regenerates founders and other incredible humans to shape the voice, tone, and messaging for the first ever Climate Con 2021, from November 9-11.
• Climate Con is a doom-free virtual gathering for us regular people to discuss what the heck we’re going to do about climate change.
• Owned materials include landing page content, social, email marketing, session and panel descriptions, and more.
